EnSol assists our clients in understanding the myriad requirements that regulatory agencies place on aboveground and underground storage tanks. EnSol is involved with the planning, design and installation of new tanks, and assessment, registration and removal of existing tanks. Whether adding, removing or replacing, EnSol has a tank management strategy that is right for our clients’ sites.

EnSol applies 'hands-on' management of storage tanks, maintains compliance with local, state and federal regulations, ascertains compliance with leak detection, overfill protection and tank monitoring, as well as determines day-to-day operational requirements. EnSol will do the whole job, from preliminary tank specification, to removal and disposal, to certification of job completion in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements.

EnSol certifies the integrity of aboveground and underground storage tanks and their surroundings through our tank inspection and certification programs.

Tank removal and certification includes the removal, cleaning and backfilling of unwanted underground storage tanks. Inspection, testing and soil removal activities are performed for tanks that have leaked and created environmental impacts to surrounding soils and groundwater. Contaminated soil is excavated and disposed of in approved waste disposal facilities. Existing piping is washed and cleaned prior to removal and salvaging.

Our services include assessment of environmental liabilities, real estate transaction audits, subsurface investigations, geo-environmental engineering, site cleanup, facilities decommissioning and waste management. Underground tanks do not last forever. Most have an operational life of between 25 to 35 years. Our program has been prepared to address tanks which have outlived their operational life.
